Hubble and Webb Space Telescope
At the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI), we are working hard to study and explain the once-unimaginable celestial phenomena now made visible using Hubble's cutting-edge technology. In the course of this exploration we will continue to share with you the grace and beauty of the universe because the discoveries belong to all of us. The Webb Space Telescope, Hubble's successor, will see in infrared, the light emitted by the farthest objects we can detect. Learn about Webb, its technology, and the science it will reveal.
NASA Science
NASA leads the nation on a great journey of discovery, seeking new knowledge and understanding of our planet Earth, our Sun and solar system, and the universe out to its farthest reaches and back to its earliest moments of existence. NASA's Science Mission Directorate (SMD) and the nation's science community use space observatories to conduct scientific studies of the Earth from space to visit and return samples from other bodies in the solar system, and to peer out into our Galaxy and beyond.

Enjoy learning about science with a wide range of fun experiments, facts, games, activities, quizzes, videos and projects that are perfect for kids. Inspiring an interest in science at a young age can help kids grow up with the tools needed to form questions about the world around them and make decisions based on their own reasoning. Fun activities, facts, projects and experiments can be the first step in fostering a desire among kids to learn more about science and technology, subjects that have practical applications in both careers and everyday life.
The James Webb Space Telescope
The James Webb Space Telescope is NASA's next orbiting observatory and the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope. A tennis court-sized telescope orbiting far beyond Earth's moon, Webb will detect infrared radiation and be capable of seeing in that wavelength as well as Hubble sees in visible light. The James Webb Space Telescope promises to open up new horizons as we gaze to the edges of the visible universe.
Understanding Science
Science is both a body of knowledge and the process for building that knowledge. Science is a way of discovering what's in the universe and how those things work today, how they worked in the past, and how they are likely to work in the future. Learn more about science as an ongoing process. Check out the other pages, articles and interactive presentation available at site that belong to Berkeley Education.
