RPG Games

RPG (full name: role-playing game) is a game in which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional world/setting, usually fantasy one. Every player act out these roles within a narrative, through a process of structured decision-making, through literal acting or character development.
Every RPG game has its own formal system of guidelines or/and rules, where so-called game master, decides on the rules and settings to be used.
In fact, RPG games has many faces. The sometimes called tabletop RPG, was the original form of this kind of game and conducted through discussion. The next generation was LARP games (full name: live action role-playing games). In this kind of game, players physically perform the role of a single character.
The graphics-based, MMORPGs (full name: massively multi-player online role-playing games) has seen a massive success, with some very popular games like: The Lord of the Rings, Dungeons and Dragons, Warrior Epic, Heroes in the Sky, PlaneShift, Vindictus, Perfect World or Runes of Magic, to name a few.
Some of the games like World of Warcraft, played a crucial role in making multi-layer online gaming reach the mass audience. RPGs with amazing graphics and fantasy characters, help people escape the boring real world, to live in the "better" fantasy world.
MMORPGs tends to become frequently updated, so players are able to continue exploring new scenery's, new characters, and new ways to enhance and improve the game-play.
